FALL 2010

Charleston Caramel Cake  Charleston Caramel Cake    

Classic caramel cake is a Southern favorite for a reason. The caramel frosting, from my great grandmother’s recipe, is rich and sweet and creamy and a wonderful contrast to the simple, slightly tart vanilla buttermilk cake.  It is perfect.

Bananas Foster  Bananas Foster 

The original Bananas Foster was created by the famous Brennan’s restaurant in New Orleans 60 years ago.  Our version is made with freshly roasted bananas, European butter and a touch of rum, and filled with a rich cinnamon cream frosting.  You can pretend you are at Mardi Gras. 

Almond Cake  Almond Cake with Cherries 

This simple, delicious pound cake, made with rich butter, vanilla beans and marzipan, is flecked with sweet, dark, flavorful cherries. The bright fruit is a perfect compliment to the almond and together create a moist, flavorful combination that you will love.  

Pumpkin Cake  Pumpkin Cake with Maple Frosting 

Made with organic pumpkin and real maple syrup, this classic was a customer favorite when we introduced it last year. The richest butter, freshly ground cinnamon and dark brown sugar enhance the lovely maple syrup in the creamy rich frosting. You will be transported to a New England evening by a roaring fire.

SPRING 2010

A lovely, moist cake made with fresh lemon zest, this is the perfect flavor to welcome warm weather and Spring.  Not too sweet, this cake has a bright flavor that we think you will love.

Coconut   Coconut   

This Whoopie is for all you Southerners out there who grew up on the great coconut cake your Momma made for special occasions.  There is coconut in the cake and in the frosting so it is absolutely brimming with rich coconut flavor. 

Vanilla Bean  Vanilla Bean

To make sure that this Whoopies is bursting with flavor, we use two kinds of very special vanilla. Vanilla Bean Paste from Madagascar is full of beautiful tiny seeds, and our rich, fragrant Vanilla Extract is from Mexico, where the lovely pod was first discovered centuries ago. We think our lovely Vanilla Bean Whoopie will be one of your favorites.
